Gosport Discovery Centre
  1. Christchurch in Stokes Road. Our morning talks and AGM took place in the hall which is situated behind the church.
  2. Gosport Discovery Centre. This houses the town museum which we visited during the afternoon.
  3. Georgian buildings in Gosport High Street which survived the bombing during the Second World War.
  4. A fine “Art Deco” building which now houses the Gosport Naval and Local Studies Library and Search a hands-on centre for school children and families.
  5. What remains of Gosport’s Thornton Theatre (1796-1826).
  6. St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in the High Street.
  7. A memorial in the Roman Catholic Church to the exiled Queen Maria Francisca of Spain who died in Gosport in 1834.
  8. Holy Trinity Church dating from 1696.
